Megan is featured in the Messenger Focus on Youth
Kait and I have been nominated
for Kids are Heroes
Visit us on their website (Kait's
profile is still to be added)
www.kidsareheroes.org/heroes/Megan-Swift.htm
We would like to give a big thank
you to Gabe and Mary Margaret for
all the work they do in recognizing all these awesome kids as
the heroes
they are. It is a great privilege to be included in such a great
group of kids.
My Mom and I did our first
Birthday Party Workshop
We had a lot of fun with 9 children at
the Birthday party on December 21st, 2010.
It took an hour and 1/2 to complete all 9 spiders and the kids
had a lot of fun.
We had to set up the beads and then the children had hard
choices to make
in picking what beads they wanted to use to make their own
spider.
We hope to have some photos to post. Our host was very gracious
and gave
extra towards my college fund along with a Birthday card to me
that was signed
by all the guests (my birthday is this week). This was most
unexpected and very
much appreciated. Thank you!
Castor
Valley Elementary School
A big Thank You to Castor
Valley Elementary School grade 7 and 8 students
who made 146 spiders and then purchased 55 of them.
We had a huge Good Luck Spider Workshop December 14th for the Grade 7 and
8 students
to make Good
Luck Spiders to donate back to us to be sold and for the kids to
buy if they wanted.
This was the idea
of the School Council to
support Charities and students working together.
This very helpful
as during school it is hard
to keep up with the demand for spiders.
I would like to
thank School Council and Castor
Valley for this initiative.

I would like to thank Jessica, Sara, Kait, (who are from left to
right in the photo
with me in the middle)
Will,
Jen and Jeremy (continuing to the right) and Julia
(who is not in the
photo). This great team helped with this
workshop as well as
several parent volunteers.
Working together we can
do infinitely more than you
can ask or imagine.
Thanks again Castor Valley!!!
